Harrogate Self Care Week 2025 Gets Underway With Relaxing Launch Event At Turkish Baths
The packed programme for the returning Harrogate Self Care Week is now underway, helping residents and owners to kick-start the year in the best way possible!
The week-long schedule officially started earlier today (January 20th) with a peer support session with the New Beginnings Group and a yoga class with One Yoga Den. This evening, the official launch event was held at the popular Turkish Baths, offering those in attendance the chance to make the most of the renowned relaxation hub.
Bethany Allen, Operations and Projects Executive at Harrogate BID, said: “We’re thrilled to announce that the Harrogate Self Care Week is now officially underway.
“We’ve got such a range of classes, workshops, talks and demonstrations across the week, so make sure you get involved and don’t miss out!
“I’d like to give a huge thank you to everyone we’ve worked with to bring this fantastic programme back to our town for another year.”
Looking further into the week, tomorrow will see Mind host a drop-in session at the dedicated space in the Victoria Shopping Centre to offer mental health support, followed by a talk with Becki Maud in the same location, featuring advice and support on becoming more resilient and helping to increase self awareness.
On Wednesday, Patti Hemmings will host a talk and demonstration on the benefits of acupressure and acupuncture, followed by a yoga session with EOS Wellness focusing on stability and mobility. Then, a special workshop with Fleeting Fern will look into the practice of Forest Bathing and the role of nature in a person’s wellbeing.
Thursday’s events will see EOS Wellness host a Reiki class to delve into energy healing, stress reduction and relaxation, followed by a Sound Bath for parents and children hosted by Resounding Wellness North to help with anxiety-reduction and good sleep. Hollistic Wellbeing Warrior Kitti will also deliver a workshop titled ‘Come Home to Yourself’ for women to pause, reflect and take a step toward living a more intentional and soul-aligned life.
Then, on Thursday evening, the staff at LUSH are preparing to host a special bath-bomb making workshop at the store in Cambridge Street in the town centre. This will be followed by a speed friending and quiz session at Starling Café on Oxford Street.
Mind will kick off the Friday with another drop-in session to offer help and advice on the topic of mental health. Then, Chantelle Coles will host a Sound Bath demonstration to help attendees relax on a Friday evening.
