Spring Wine Fair at Local Wine Merchants, Ake & Humphris

Spring is an exciting time for local independent wine merchants, Ake & Humphris. Like a vinous Monty Don they have been cutting back and pulling up, snipping and clearing so that new blooms may rise and overlooked and neglected corners may burst forth into the sun.

Now is the time for them to share the bounty of their labours in glorious floral whites, fabulous new Champagnes, gorgeous fruity decadent reds and groovy rosé and natural wines.

Their annual Spring wine fair is always greeted with enthusiasm and very well attended. Sales Manager, Paul says, ”It is a fabulous opportunity for you to discover first hand some exciting new experiences in wine as well as spirits. We, your friends in wine, can’t wait to share the truly thrilling things that we have unearthed!”

You are invited to grab a glass and saunter leisurely around the tables of treats, like a visitor to an open garden on a spring day, tasting over 50 great new things and meeting the team in a relaxed environment. You can expect to see wines from new origins including Slovenia and Bulgaria, new grape varieties such as Zelen and Zibibbo plus some prestigious bottlings by outstanding wineries like Crossbarn by Paul Hobbs and Elderton Estate from Barrossa, Australia.
