Harrogate’s Windsor House has unveiled a dedicated yoga and Pilates studio for tenants looking for a healthy start to the new year.

Towards the end of last year, Boultbee Brookes – owners of the former Grand Hotel which is now home to more than 115 businesses – trialled lunchtime yoga classes, which proved a huge success.

As a result, the company has now created a dedicated yoga and Pilates studio, where two instructors are offering morning, lunchtime and evening classes, four times a week to its tenants. The classes started earlier this month and are available at a small cost.

This new benefit for tenants comes shortly after the second phase of an extensive refurbishment at Harrogate’s Windsor House. The imposing former Grand Hotel has restored a sense of the building’s original grandeur with the creation of a new plush break out space, meeting area and café.

The extensive refurbishment of the grand foyer – part of which had been mothballed for 35 years – is a luxurious space for workers to meet clients, to work together, or just relax over a coffee or lunch.

With seating for 110 people, it is proving exceptionally popular for impromptu meetings and those taking time out during the working day.

Karen Winspear, Boultbee Brooks’ Building Manager for Windsor House, said: “When we introduced a weekly yoga class, we weren’t sure just how popular it would be.

“It proved to be a great success, and that led to us taking the step to not only increase the number of yoga classes, but to also introduce Pilates classes.

“We have created our own studio, and I’m delighted to announce that regular classes, led by Jess Barnard, for yoga, and Fern Summerton, for Pilates are now in full swing.”

Karen added: “This latest innovation, plus the recent significant investment in the new Palm Court space, demonstrates Boultbee Brooks’ commitment to Windsor House, and ensuring our tenants have a fantastic base to run their businesses from.”
