Verity Frearson Nominated for Charitable Business of the Year in the Yorkshire Choice Awards 2023
Harrogate Estate Agent and Chamber member Verity Frearson has been nominated for the Charitable Business of the Year award in the Yorkshire Choice Awards 2023.

The Yorkshire Choice Awards aim to raise awareness of local people and independent businesses that are inspirational in their own way or in the markets they serve.
A spokesperson said, “We are incredibly proud to have been nominated for Charitable Business of The Year. As a business we are passionate about giving back. Over the years we’ve helped collect teddies to send to children in war torn countries, taken part in a CEO Sleepout to raise money to fight homelessness and poverty, run (or walked!) the Race for life and sponsored countless charity events and individuals.”
In 2022 Verity Frearson celebrated their 100th birthday with a charitable initiative called ‘100 Days of Giving’.
“The aim was to give back to the community that has supported us for the last century by undertaking an act of giving, every day…. for 100 days!”
They donated food to the Food Bank, helped with pitch repairs at a local Junior Football Club, hosted a Macmillan Cake Sale, volunteered at a Primary School bingo night, purchased new-born essentials for The Village Baby Bank and surprised teachers with bunches of flowers amongst many other charitable deeds.
The Yorkshire Choice Awards was founded by Joanne Maltby and Melanie Malcolm who saw an opportunity to recognise and raise the awareness of local people and independent businesses that are inspirational in their own way or in the markets they serve.
The Business Awards are a celebration of Independent Businesses' achievements and contributions to the economy and community. Businesses who have shown outstanding ability or determination in the face of difficulties or has gone the extra mile for customers or its community.
The finalists are determined by an online public vote and winners will be announced at a prestigious Awards Gala Dinner in Centenary Pavilion at Leeds United on Friday 9th June 2023.
