There’s still time to take advantage of the Saint Michael’s Hospice Make a Will Month offer this March

This March, Saint Michael’s Hospice are working with local solicitors to offer its community  the chance to make or update their Will for free as part of its Make a Will Month scheme. The offer runs from 1st -31st March and appointments can take place at a later date as long as they are booked within the March time-frame.

Hana Gwyn LCF Law Harrogate

With over half of UK adults not having a Will, by taking part in the scheme and writing a Will you can ensure peace of mind knowing that your loved ones are taken care of, your assets go where you want them to, your wishes are followed and you can also leave a lasting gift to a cause close to your heart.

The initiative sees participating local solicitors kindly waive their legal fees for writing or updating a basic Will, which can cost between £200-£350. Instead, you are invited to make a donation to support Saint Michael’s care in your community. Each participating solicitor offers their appointments in a way that is convenient for you, and as easy as possible, whether that is phone, in person or home visits.

LCF Law in Harrogate are just one of the firms supporting, talking about their participation, Hana Gwyn said;  “At LCF Law, we understand the importance of planning for the future and the peace of mind that comes from having an up-to-date Will. By supporting Saint Michael's Make a Will Month, we not only help individuals protect their loved ones but also contribute to a cause that makes a meaningful difference right here in our community. As a local firm, we are proud to partner with Saint Michael's Hospice and encourage everyone to take this opportunity to create or update their Will while supporting vital hospice care.”

Saint Michael’s offer vital hospice care, emotional wellbeing and bereavement support to local communities across the Harrogate district both from its Hornbeam Park based hospice and in peoples own homes. The charity believes no-one should have to face terminal illness alone – and their caring and compassionate teams are here alongside local people and their families when they need them the most.

At Saint Michael’s Hospice 1 in 3 of its patients is cared for thanks to a gift left in a Will. Once you have taken care of your family and friends in your Will, consider leaving a gift to Saint Michael’s to ensure future generations will have access to its services. Even a gift of 1% of your estate once you have provided for your loved ones will help ensure Saint Michael’s  Hospice is there for everyone who needs it.
