Rudding Park Launches ‘I Do At FIFTY TWO’ Weddings Ahead Of Valentine Engagement Season

Rudding Park, in Harrogate, North Yorkshire has unveiled a new venue for couples looking for something a little different for their wedding. For 2025 couples can marry with an alfresco ceremony on the Breeze House lawn before drinks and canapes in the Kitchen Garden followed by an immersive dining experience at, FIFTY TWO.

Serving as an alternative to the formality of a ‘traditional’ wedding breakfast, FIFTY TWO is designed to offer a relaxed ‘dinner party at home vibe’ with great food and drink, great company and great conversation.

The space is an open kitchen featuring a bespoke seven metre kitchen island and given ‘the best parties always happen in the kitchen’, why not the best weddings. Designed for small weddings up to 20, guests don’t see a menu in advance and place their faith in the skills of Head Chef Adam Degg, who appeared on the Great British Menu.

Rudding Park Weddings Manager, Lyndsey Gibbs comment “For those who want the timeless elegance of a traditional wedding, Grade I listed Rudding House offer the perfect setting. However, we’ve noticed an increase in couples looking for smaller weddings and a more contemporary approach – FIFTY TWO is the perfect solution. The beauty of Rudding Park is its versatility as we have something to suit everyone’s ideas of the perfect wedding day.”

FIFTY TWO is a contemporary space made up of five shipping containers where picture windows and sky lights bring the outside in and add a light and airy feel. Inspired by the number of raised beds in Rudding Park Kitchen Garden, FIFTY TWO takes its cue from ‘mother nature’ with dishes created using the highest quality ingredients cultivated in the kitchen garden or selected from trusted local producers and purveyors, whilst carefully selected wines, freshly made juices and garden-inspired cocktails complement the food.

The Kitchen Garden is quite literally a key ingredient of the FIFTY TWO dining experience where Kitchen Gardener, Emma Pugh and her team grow over 500 different edible plants. Using organic and no-dig principles, the gardeners enrich the soil with a variety of organic matter so the crops are packed with nutrients giving the freshest seasonal flavours and textures on your plate.

Adam explains: “FIFTY TWO is about involving everyone. We have aprons on hand for those who are keen to get involved, a pack of cards to spark the ‘art of conversation‘, whilst over pudding, guests can get involved with ‘dessert‘ island disc - the chance to select a track for the FIFTY TWO playlist and a reveal of the couples’ favourite track!
