Mental Health Skills for Managers with Wellspring

World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on 10 October and this year the theme set by World Federation for Mental Health is: “It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace“.

According to the ONS the 5th most common reason for sickness absence in 2022 was mental health (1) and back in 2017 it was estimated that 15% of UK workers have an existing mental health condition (2).

Chamber member Wellspring Therapy & Training offer mental health support within our local community and they are running a new Mental Health Skills workshop specifically for Managers in the workplace. The course is designed to equip people managers with the knowledge and skills they need to have effective conversations with staff about mental health wellbeing, alongside modelling good self-care practice themselves.

Investing time in learning about mental health could be one of the best things you could do for yourself and the people in your organisation. So book your place now!

The four-hour course is being delivered online from 1-5pm on Thursday 24th October, 2024 and is run in conjunction with MHFA England.

Not only is this course convenient as it is online, Wellspring are also delivering it at a special price of £120 (RRP £180). Price includes VAT, manual, workbook and certificate.
