Final awards line up for Jones Myers following unprecedented entries
Harrogate based Jones Myers is a finalist in the 2023 Yorkshire Legal Awards which have broken all records for the number of firms entering and the volume of submissions received.
The niche family law firm is shortlisted in the Family Law category where areas being judged include dedication to clients, cases which reflect the team’s expertise, third-party recognition, and giving back to the community.
Achieving top rankings in legal guide rankings for over two decades, the practice is described by the latest Legal 500 Guide as ‘The Leading matrimonial finance firm in Yorkshire, with outstanding individuals and strength in depth’.

As part of the practice’s long-standing commitment to supporting its local communities Jones Myers has undertaken a series of fundraising activities including Yorkshire’s Three Peaks challenge for Henshaws charity which supports over 7,000 service users with sight loss and other learning disabilities.
A commitment to help develop the next generation sees Jones Myers awarding an annual prize for the Best Overall Performance on Master of Laws of England and Wales to a graduate at Leeds Beckett University Law School.
The firm also donates time and expertise to support the Law School’s Professional Mentor Scheme and Law Clinics.
The awards shortlisting follows Jones Myers inclusion in this year’s 2023 edition of Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom which is based on peer recommendations.
Director and managing partner, Richard Peaker, an expert in complex financial disputes, features for the 15th consecutive year while partner Kate Banerjee, an acknowledged leader in children’s law, retains her listing from 2022.
