Harrogate nurse seeking business support

A Harrogate nurse is looking for assistance from the business community as he undertakes his latest fund-raising challenge.

In his words, Andy Dennis says: "I am a nurse on the Intensive Care Unit at Harrogate District Hospital. I also work with Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). When not working in the field with MSF I fundraise for them .

I have so far raised over £114,000 towards a target of £200,000. I raise the money through events and personal challenges. I have walked 1500 miles from Amsterdam to Barcelona and cycled 4000 miles across the USA with my partner Tracey.

Our next project is a 2000 mile ride from Amsterdam to Gibraltar. I am trying to make contact with businesses that may be interested in sponsoring this challenge.

I have a sponsor pack that details the benefits of supporting this project and would really like to be able to share this with your members. Local media are on supportive - Your Harrogate, Harrogate Advertiser and Stray Ferret as well as regional radio - BBC Radio York and I am working on a return to Look North!
