Harrogate Jewellers Nominated for National Award
Crown Jewellers, the Commercial Street business owned by Chamber President, Sue Kramer and her husband Steve has been nominated for a prestigious industry award.
Crown Jewellers received their nomination after they were named as one of the top five favourite local businesses in the UK, according to a nationwide competition in 2022 sponsored by Town & City Gift Cards. The duo were then brought to light through nomination by a mystery admirer. Now, they are one of only six companies in England to be nominated for the renowned ‘Jewellery Team of the Year’ award by Professional Jeweller.
This month marks 23 years since expert jewellers, Steve and Sue Kramer, opened their shop in Harrogate. Since opening their doors in 2000, Crown Jewellers have offered beautiful jewellery and exceptional service to the local community. With over 38 years experience, Steve is one of the most qualified diamond and gemstone experts in the area, making this nomination very well deserved.
Steve shared his excitement following the nomination, stating, “This is a fantastic accolade for Sue and I, one which we were surprised and delighted by. We genuinely love working together, even after all these years, and looking after our customers too – many of whom we have known now for a very long time! In fact, we have been invited to many of their weddings which is an honour!”
With the husband and wife duo being the only staff members, it certainly seems that their partnership is key to the success of the business. They really are a dream team!
Sue Kramer added, “Thank you to all of our customers who have supported us over the last 23 years, we absolutely love what we do, and accolades like this one make it just that little bit sweeter.”
The winner for the Professional Jeweller Award is being decided by industry professionals who will be casting their votes at the end of July. Winners are to be announced at an exclusive evening in September at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
Winning this award would honour the work that Steve and Sue have put into Crown Jewellers for the last two decades and further cement the pair as some of the most industrious, hard-working and creative jewellers in the country.
