Harrogate International Festivals Announces Bespoke British Furniture Brand As Latest Sponsor
Harrogate International Festivals is delighted to announce bespoke furniture and fabric business Sofas & Stuff as its latest sponsor. The renowned British-based company has become a Platinum Partner joining as one of the Harrogate International Sunday Series sponsors.
Sofas & Stuff is a family-run business launched in 2009 by Andrew Cussins and his wife Julia. The company, which specialises in handmade sofas, chairs and beds, quickly established itself as one of the leading high-quality furniture makers and now has 23 showrooms around the country, including at Bishop Thornton, in North Yorkshire, and Redbrick Mill, in West Yorkshire.
Its latest exclusive collection, Threads of India, launched in January this year and created in collaboration with the V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum), draws inspiration from the illustrious archive of South Asian textiles at the V&A, celebrating India’s timeless textiles and global influence, and elevating luxury living spaces with a touch of history.
For 30 years the Harrogate International Sunday Series has delighted audiences by bringing world-class chamber and classical musicians to the heart of Yorkshire. This year’s concerts, which started in January, continue with pianist Clare Hammond (March 24) and violinist Hyeyoon Park with pianist Zlata Chochieva (April 14).
Andrew Cussins, founder of Sofas & Stuff, said: “We are extremely proud to be the new sponsors of such a prestigious music programme in Yorkshire – where my father, Manny, opened his first furniture shop many years ago.
“At Sofas & Stuff, we prioritise longevity and take pride in crafting high-quality products, built to last. This commitment to enduring quality resonates with the essence of the Sunday Series concerts in Harrogate, which celebrate the timeless excellence of classical music.”
Sharon Canavar, Harrogate International Festivals Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sofas & Stuff as one of our Harrogate International Sunday Series sponsors.
“This year we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of these brilliant Sunday morning concerts that have brought such talented and award-winning young performers to Harrogate, and we can’t think of more fitting partners.
“As an arts charity we rely on sponsors to help stage these events and thanks to the support of pioneering businesses like Sofas & Stuff this popular concert programme can continue.”
