Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce Focuses on Wellbeing in the Workplace

Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce has announced its March meeting, which is to be held at DoubleTree by Hilton Majestic Hotel on Monday 11 March, 5pm - 8pm.

Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce Focuses on Wellbeing in the Workplace

The meeting will focus on Wellbeing in the Workplace, with Chamber members and registered guests hearing from expert speakers from Yorkshire businesses. The topic will be examined from the perspectives of law and HR, as well as how it is embedded in a company culture.

Speakers at the event include Iain Jenkins from McCormicks Solicitors, Sarah Darbyshire of HR Solutions Yorkshire Ltd and Claire Nixon of Bettys and Taylors.

Chamber CEO, Martin Mann said

“For many job applicants and employees, how a business looks after their employees is increasingly important in who they choose to work for. The focus on employee wellbeing increased during the Covid 19 pandemic, and many companies are now developing a wellbeing strategy as part of their overall HR strategy. Businesses that can demonstrate that they look after their employees’ mental and physical wellbeing are more likely to attract, recruit and retain employees.”

Attendees will also be able to benefit from complimentary treatments from Learning Curve - a local Hair and Beauty training provider, with seated neck and shoulder massages and reflexology among the treatments available to attendees from 5pm.

The event itself begins at 5.30 pm, giving registered members and guests the opportunity to network and connect. Tea and coffee will be provided, before the main meeting starts at 6.15pm. Following the wellbeing discussion, Chamber members will have the opportunity to share their latest news.

As an ‘open meeting’, first-time visitors are welcome to attend and all companies are entitled to bring along more than one member of staff. You can reserve your spot here: https://www.harrogatechamber.co.uk/events
