Big Bamboo appointed by Festival Extras as strategic marketing and brand agency

Full-service marketing and communications agency, Big Bamboo, has been appointed by Festival Extras – the UK’s largest and leading supplier of accommodation and staffing into the festival industry – to support it with strategic positioning, brand alignment and ongoing PR and communications.

Following a recommendation to the managing director of the firm and a pitch to its senior team, the agency – made up of 16 strategists, brand specialists, content writers, PR experts and designers will support the company with strategic positioning and brand work, helping it align its existing brands and introduce new ones.

The company currently operates in the festival industry, under the guise of several brands. It has set its sight on future growth off the back of a very successful few years, which means establishing itself in new sectors too.

Nicola Stamford, Founding Director of The Big Bamboo Agency, comments: “We are thrilled to have been appointed by Festival Extras, which is a leading player in the festival industry, with a further vision to become recognised in other sectors including the wider hospitality field.

“The company, which was incorporated in 2012 is family owned and run, with a fantastic story to tell. To be brought in as a partner to help its owners and management team on the next phase of their journey is very exciting.”

Harry Lister, Managing Director of Festival Extra’s, comments: “We were introduced to Big Bamboo via a mutual connection, we were very impressed with the team’s response to our brief and the ability to coherently articulate our vision for success.

“We look forward to working with them as a partner and to realigning our position in the marketplace.”

Last year, Big Bamboo was ranked as a top 50 PR agency and the second fastest growing PR agency in the North of England.
